Coronavirus: our drainage superheroes

Apr 21, 2021 | News

We’re hugely proud of our team at Drain Power. Deemed essential ‘sewage’ key workers throughout the Covid-19 crisis. It goes without saying we think our Drainage Engineers are superheroes.

Since the start of the current global pandemic: Coronavirus, Drain Power has continued to monitor all UK Government and Public Health advice on an on-going basis and many of our team were out unblocking and repairing drains across the Greater London area.

Drain Power’s leadership team review’s advice and guidelines carefully and continue to make necessary adjustments to remain fully operational in the safest way for all our drainage clients and colleagues.

We have adapted our working processes to ensure stringent hygiene procedures are adhered to in our vehicles, offices, and on-site visits. We have also restricted face-to-face interaction where possible.

We continue to monitor working processes to ensure minimal interruption to our drainage service delivery and provide the services our clients expect. We remain open for business as usual.

Our priority continues to be the health and safety of our clients and colleagues. Our business contingency plan ensures our ability to continue to deliver our services in a safe and efficient way.

Drain Power’s business contingency plan details both the Government and Public Health guidelines to ensure compliance with health and safety practices. It also details what measures we have put in place to reduce the spread of Coronavirus.

At our headquarters, access has been restricted and new hygiene regimes, compliant with guidance issued, have been implemented. This also extends to all our drainage vehicles.

While restrictions have eased, we continue to ensure direct contact is minimised and therefore ask clients and suppliers to contact us via telephone or email.

Where necessary, we will continue to have remote working facilities available for our employees to maintain social distancing in the event of a Covid-19 outbreak. As always, this will not cause any disruption to our drainage services. At times this may require additional preventative measures to be implemented, so we would ask for your co-operation in assisting our teams where needed.

As our clients, we would respectfully ask that anyone with Covid-19 symptoms (latest advice on symptoms can be found on either the Government or NHS websites) contacts our office directly to ensure we carry out necessary precautions for the safety of our crews.

Drain Power will continue adhere to all guidelines and update its business contingency plan as required. We will also continue to ensure we keep our clients and staff safe in all working practices. If you have any queries, please do not hesitate to get in touch.
